This morning as we began breaking camp in Santa Rosa, one of our traveling neighbors stopped by to visit. This hispanic gent told me he grew up 10 miles south of where we were standing, and grew up living off the land. . . had to drive dirt roads for miles to collect water . . . grew their own veggies . . . We went to the Horse Park two days ago. I was immediately, I mean IMMEDIATELY, taken with the official logo (above, as seen in the museum). I think it is so simply rich with meaning; dam and foal trotting alongside one another. Acorn and tree, all in one design. I kept looking at the logo, wondering what manner of artist created such a perfect rendering with so many meanings. I was thinking that this artist must have the gift of God-sight. Read More…
