Uh . . . Hi. If you’ve followed this blog in the past, guess what: I’m gonna give it another go.
Not retiring after all.
Over the past several months I’ve been missing this activity. So last night I read back through some of my posts, and your responses, and the sense of belonging here just kind of welled up — rather unexpectedly, too.
In other words, I’ve missed you. And I’ve missed me, too!
Now that’s crazy, you may say. You’re with yourself 24/7, so how can you miss yourself?
Easy answer: when I write / blog, I put on paper / into words a part of me that is bashful, if you will — I surely don’t go around daily speaking out loud on topics of meaning. My human encounters are for the most part casual conversations, quick howdy’s, occasional sharing of some grief, be it large or small. True, there’s almost always the undercurrent of good friendship and caring, but no overt speaking of the Meaning of Life And All Its Little Parts.
We can express our philosophy of life by our actions. Actions speak louder than words, so they say. We can express ourselves through artistic means, be it music or painting or woodworking or any other kind of craft. We reveal ourselves in many ways without explicitly verbalizing.
For me, though: my returning to blogging is the result of a new self-discovery: I inspire myself. When I write, it’s from the gut, and from experience, and from reflection. When I read what I write, I’m drawn (or compelled) to live what I write.
I think this is kin to the “vicious circle” some speak of. It’s not vicious, but definitely circular. I write what I live, so that I can live what I write.
If this makes no sense, then — hey, that’s me in a nutshell!
So, to anybody out there, and to everybody out there —
I love you, and I love me
and it’s just great that we can be!

Wow Jeanne. I had to smile about the line on how you inspire yourself
So true – blogging really does help you live what you write! Very well said – the whole post. Welcome back.

The wannabe cowgirl in me says YEE-HAW! Glad to be back among the blogsters, friend!
Hi Jeanne,
WooHoo! Welcome back.
You know, sometimes that’s all it takes, is a break away from blogging to figure out what it does, or doesn’t do for us. Although some may say blogging is a waste of their time and never come back, what I do see is more bloggers saying what you so eloquently stated; they genuinely miss their blogging buddies as well as the writing.
It’s great seeing you in blogosphere again.

Yes, Barbara — once again I experience the “live and learn” reality of life! I’m just so glad I didn’t ditch my blog!
Hello! So glad you are back – I agree, I agree – I’d be lost without my writing and self-inspiration !! haha, so true!!! Great to have you back
Hi, Sharni, great to hear from you!
What’s going on at your site? I tried to comment but a window pops up saying I have to sign up w/ Twitter. .
Sounds like it’s become your own private journal that somehow increases the power it has to circle back and influence you due to the “public-ness” of it. I agree and have finally made headway on my updated website. Of course then I broke it, saw 2 “experts” and ended up having my cousin of all people fix it!
Here’s to the return of both of us (though you’re much more diligent than I)!

Amen, Sister Sarandipity! You say it just right — private journal that has power through it’s publication!
Lifting my glass in a toast to you and your adventures
Fantastic!
‘way cool.
If you announced your retirement from blogging, I missed it. I was just thinking about leaving a message here asking what was going on and how you were doing. Glad you’ve returned to blogging!
Thought I’d had enough, but apparently just needed a break and a decision to not feel obligated to blog quite so often. I got to really missing everyone
Hey Jeanne – Welcome back! Today I just read about how the most important things in life are circles, so I really got a kick out of your description of your own circular movement to write what you live and live what you write. Perfectly said.

Hi, Patty! I’m so looking forward to this blog rekindling thing
, just hope all this circular stuff doesn’t give me vertigo!
Dearest Jeanne, who has created a hilarious photo up there.
WELCOME BACK!!!
You are ever in my heart, no matter what or where.
That’s the great thing about blogging, we do it when we have something to say on our own schedule.
You been travelling! And gardening, I’m sure.
How are your gardens up there?? Blossoming more gorgeously, I’m sure!!
And it’s always a JOY to see your awesome wonderfulness on my blog, Jeanne!!

I love you too, girlfriend! Hmmm . . . it’s been a week since I posted this. Guess it’s time for another, soon. Gardens are rip-roaring full of blooms with promise of even more! Just wish Miracle Grow would kill weeds as it feeds flowers, LOL!
“When I read what I write, I’m drawn to live what I write.” This is one of my motivation to continue blogging. Isn’t it great to express ourselves through writing, and the best part is that we can share it with others.
Hi, Walter — yep, sounds like we’re cut from the same cloth re: writing. Everyone needs some self-expression; writing satisfies, and sharing is awesome!
