With a big chunk of cash in hand, we studied the entire United States to see where we really wanted to live.  North Carolina, especially the Raleigh area, was our choice: mild seasons, great public schools, an up-and-coming area.

I’m not going into detail here, because these are probably the most painful years of my life.  What happened, though, in a nutshell:

• that chunk of cash got eaten up by the Tax Man
• marriage fell apart / divorce followed
• met Denis Waitley through one of his CD programs; he saved my life
• me and kids floundered around for a few years

My best memories:

• the glorious, wonderful scenic places all over North Carolina!
• loving my children more than life itself
• watching them develop strong, strong values
• their moral support during the tough years

My worst memories:

• the pain in my children’s faces over the divorce
• the pain in my children’s faces over the divorce
• the pain . . .
